🖤 About HMUlist

HMUlist began as a place for people to post their missed connections –  those chance encounters that left you wondering what if. But over time, it’s grown into something a little more real, a little more daring, and a lot more fun.

Behind the front of “missed connections,” you’ll find something deeper – a collection of stories, secrets, and opportunities waiting to happen. Every post could be the beginning of something spontaneous, meaningful, or downright electric.

So whether you’re here to find that one person you can’t stop thinking about, or you’re open to whoever shows up next, HMUlist is where your next connection starts. Post your ad, tell your story, or just browse the ones that catch your eye. You never know who’s out there looking for you, too.

The New Place for Missed Connections and New Connections!

If you were around in the early internet days, you probably remember Craigslist’s famous Missed Connections page. It was simple, anonymous, and strangely addictive — a place where strangers could confess crushes, replay moments, or just wonder if the person they’d noticed might see the post and respond. It became one of Craigslist’s most beloved sections because it was raw, honest, and full of possibility.

So go ahead… make your move. Post your story, send that message, and see who’s been waiting to hit you up.

✍️ Meet the Owner/Author Lizzy

Main Author of HMUlist

About Lizzy, 27, is the creator and driving force behind HMUlist. I’m 27, addicted to good conversation, and honestly a little obsessed with the idea of what if. You know that electric moment when you pass someone and instantly wonder who they are, what they’re like, and if you’ll ever see them again? Yeah… that’s my thing.

I grew up during the golden age of Craigslist’s Missed Connections — that messy, mysterious corner of the internet where people poured their hearts out to total strangers. I used to scroll through it for hours. It was romantic, tragic, and kinda sexy all at once. But as the internet “grew up,” that vibe disappeared. Everything became swipes, filters, and boring bios. So I decided to bring it back — only this time, with a little more fun, flirt, and fire.

I built HMUlist for people like me — curious, bold, and maybe a little impulsive. It’s for those who don’t want a corporate dating app decidingwho they’re allowed to meet. I’ve got a background in digital media and marketing, but more than that, I’ve always been fascinated by connection — real, raw, unfiltered connection. I wanted to make a space where it’s okay to be forward, funny, and maybe a little naughty, without judgment.

HMUlist is part nostalgia, part rebellion, and part social experiment. It’s a reminder that it’s still okay to shoot your shot, to post that ad, to say what you actually want. Life’s too short to wonder what if — so go ahead… hit someone up. You never know who’s waiting to hit you back.
